Organizational Leadership

At this stage of development, the Indigenous Fellowship of Hamilton Road operates through the leadership of its Board of Directors, the Executive Director, and the support of dedicated volunteers.

Together, these individuals help guide the direction of the organization, coordinate programs and initiatives, and support community engagement within the Hamilton Road neighbourhood.

Executive Director

The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to help guide the development of IFHR programs, partnerships, and community initiatives.

The Executive Director helps coordinate the organization’s work, support community relationships, and assist in the development of future programming connected to the IFHR community hub.

Volunteers

Volunteers play an important role in the development of IFHR and its community initiatives.

Volunteer support contributes to programs such as community gatherings, youth programming, and activities connected to the Mushkeeki Gitigan Medicine Garden.

The involvement of volunteers reflects the strong community interest in the growth and development of IFHR within the Hamilton Road neighbourhood.

Building the Future Team

As IFHR continues to grow and new programs develop, the organization is focused on creating future staff positions that will support community initiatives and program delivery.

Potential staff roles may include:

• Youth Support Workers

• Housing Support Workers

• Program Manager / Program Supervisor

These positions will work alongside the Executive Director and Board of Directors to support the development of programs and community initiatives.

Student Placements and Learning Opportunities

IFHR also welcomes opportunities to support community placement students from local educational institutions such as:

• King’s University College

• Fanshawe College

• Western University

Student placements provide valuable learning opportunities for students while supporting the work of IFHR through community programming and initiatives.

These placements help strengthen connections between educational institutions and the community while supporting practical learning experiences for students.

Growing Together

As the organization continues to grow, the IFHR team will expand alongside the development of new programs, partnerships, and community initiatives.

Through collaboration with volunteers, students, and future staff, IFHR aims to continue building opportunities that support community wellbeing and cultural connection.
