Mushkeeki Gitigan Season Opening & Dan Smoke Baa Spiritual Memorial

Join us for the soft launch of the new season at Mushkeeki Gitigan (Medicine Garden), a space rooted in healing, learning, community, and Indigenous cultural connection. This gathering will mark the seasonal opening of the garden and invite community members to come together in a good way as we begin another year of land-based teachings, relationship-building, and shared care for this sacred space.

This special opening will also include the Dan Smoke Baa Spiritual Memorial, held in honour of his spirit, teachings, and lasting contributions to community, culture, and Indigenous ways of knowing. Together, this gathering will offer a meaningful opportunity for reflection, remembrance, prayer, and renewal as we enter the season with intention, gratitude, and respect.
